Victorian tiled insert fireplace
For sale is this antique cast iron tiled fireplace insert, which has been restored fully and is beautifully presented. Cast between 1900-1910 with original foundry marks, it is a lovely piece of architectural heritage. The ironwork has been protective coated and polished to bring out its original character.
This is a classic late Victorian / early Edwardian chimney piece. The beautiful detail and quality can be seen in the pictures of the insert.
The hand painted runs of tiles are all in very good condition ( please see photos for a closer look)
The tiles will be plastered into place once the item has been purchased.
They complement the floral ironwork perfectly.
During restoration we replaced bolts where needed, fire stone and grate.
We've retained the original canopy, fire back, front bars and ash pan cover.
