VICTORIAN TILED FIREPLACE

Large antique late Victorian cast iron combination fireplace. Cast with fine plaque to the centre of the frieze, above a domed adjustable canopy decorated with a stylised swags. Circa 1897. Complete with a rare set of original fireplace tiles.
Original front bars with hand made ash pan cover.
Supplied with clay fire back and cast iron stool grate.
During restoration we this item has been sand blasted, wire brushed,  and finished in traditional black grate polish for metal protection.
Buffed, to highlight the detail in the cast iron casting.
The final result looks amazing.

Made of solid, heavyweight cast iron, the whole thing is in excellent condition.
There are discreet mounting lugs on the underside of the mantle,  for simple and safe installation.
