Victorian bedroom combination fireplace

Victorian bedroom combination fireplace

A beautiful, reclaimed, cast iron combination fire likely to date to the late Victorian era, C1880-1890. The fire is very ornate and has a fantastic design with pretty ferns on each side and above the opening.

The fire has its original front bar, back, and mantel.

The iron has been stripped, blacked and polished.

This item has a made to measure flue damper, blackened with the same grate polish.

There is a fixing lug on each side, under the mantel, for fixings for attaching the fire to the wall.

The finished result looks stunning.

About our restorations:

Our fireplaces and surrounds are restored and finished using traditional methods and materials. A restored fireplace will bear well concealed signs of the restoration work where needed and will have natural imperfections due to the nature of antique cast iron. This simply adds to the character of the piece in our view.
