Victorian Arched Fireplace

For sale this original antique fireplace. Reclaimed from a Cheshire Victorian property, it has been professionally stripped, and the arched insert has a protective coat and polished to bring out its original character.
The fire surround can be primed ready for painting or have the same treatment as the interior.

This is an original, immaculate condition chimney piece from the late Victorian period, carrying authentic foundry marks dating it to 1870-1880. Its style is distinguishable by the use of decorative ironwork around a detail-lined arch and stunning roundels on the shoulders.  The attractive features can be seen in the pictures.
All parts are made of solid cast iron. During restoration we retained the original substantial serpentine mantle shelf.
We have replaced the free standing cast iron back and flue damper.
Perfect for customer's wanting open fires.

There are discreet mounting holes on either side of the body, for simple and safe installation.
