Cast iron fire surround

For sale is this exquisite, restored  cast iron fireplace surround, resplendent with late Victorian / early Edwardian character.
Also advertised on EBAY for more money, to allow for fees.
This is a lovely condition,  reclaimed from a Victorian property in Chester. Carries authentic foundry marks. The beautiful detail and quality can be seen in the pictures.
It is made of solid cast iron in fantastic condition. The decorative ironwork includes a beautiful floral plaque over the opening and  a scroll moulding down the legs.
The surround fits neatly over an existing fireplace opening or against a flat wall.
During restoration we retained the original mantle shelf, which is perfectly proportioned.  The item has been burnished and polished to give it a highlighted silver appearance.
There are discreet mounting holes on either side of the body, for simple and safe installation.

There is no rear projection on this piece and a slight rebate of 2cm, making it a great choice to fit either flush against a flat wall or over an existing opening/insert
